"Synergy Institute Community Event Helps Wishes Come True"

Local Community Make a Wish Fundraiser is Smashing Success: Synergy Institute's First Annual Fundraiser Raises $974.00!

Synergy Institute in Naperville, IL held its first annual Make a Wish Fundraiser on Saturday, September 16, 2006. The event started at noon and went until 3pm. Over 50 clients, friends, and community members joined in the fun and festivities….some walked away with great prizes from winning competitions in: bag tosses, balloon tosses, bozo buckets, and face painting. Donations were accepted through October 1st for those who could not make the event. $974.00 was collected for the foundation.

Dr. Wise shared, "I was very pleased with the turn out for our first annual Make a Wish event. All proceeds were donated to the foundation, and I feel very thrilled to give this organization all we could. Everyone who came to the event had fun while feeling good about what they were giving to. I plan to organize an event like this one every year".

For those who are unfamiliar with the organization, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Illinois grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Since its start in 1985, more than 6,000 local children have experienced a wish come true.

The event consisted of games, food, fun and competitions. First place winners and second runners up in the competitions received I Pods, an X-Box, and a portable Nintendo courtesy of Synergy Institute. Contestants of the games arrived right at noon to sign up and donate to the cause. Synergy Institute also gave $5 massages and free skin analysis screenings. Dr. Wise said, "We wanted to get the community involved in this special fund raiser while incorporating a few treatments to promote health and longevity… what Synergy Institute is all about"

Dr. Wise added, "After this event's smashing success, we have not only decided to hold an event once a year, we would like to continue to raise money throughout the entire year… we just need to plan the best way to accomplish that. Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday, made contributions, and/or donated their time to make the event possible. We look forward to raising more for the foundation next year!"
